Net Zero Scotland Community is part of the Scottish Government’s official COP26 program. Their ‘Future Series’, the only two-week hybrid conference for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), builds upon this foundation to unite SMEs together in Climate Action.
As part of this, Net Zero Scotland Community is excited to present this special online session so that SMEs in Scotland and beyond can understand how blockchain can help them reduce their carbon emissions and achieve Net Zero.
Blockchain, or distributed ledger technology (DLT), represents a solution for the major issues that have challenged the carbon credit markets over the past decades.
In this online session we explore:
- What Blockchain is
- Why it can help build a truly integrated global carbon market – and real world examples
- The value blockchain brings to carbon markets
- What companies need to think about before deploying blockchain for carbon
The panel will consist of BlockApps’ Kieren James-Lubin & Victor Wong, Ecologica Institute’s Divaldo Rezende, and BEF’s Mike Davies.
