Meet Our Leadership Team
Kieren James-Lubin is the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of BlockApps, the leader in Web3Commerce for Business, whose mission is to unlock the value of real-world assets by making them more trusted, transparent, and fair. Before founding BlockApps, Kieren was instrumental in working on Ethereum prior to its launch. He used this knowledge to help build BlockApps’ initial product, STRATO. Leveraging his extensive background in technology, Kieren is now responsible for leading, maintaining, and growing BlockApps’ business. Kieren was all-but-dissertation at UC Berkeley in Mathematical Physics and holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Princeton University.
Jim is the creator of the Haskell Ethereum client, EthereumH. EthereumH was the first client developed outside the Ethereum Foundation to be fully compliant with the public Ethereum network. To accomplish this feat, he had to reverse engineer most of the core protocols of the Ethereum blockchain.
Victor is a recognized thought leader in the blockchain space and has helped define the STRATO architecture to solve key blockchain issues of permissioning, data privacy, and enterprise-level performance. Victor is a founding board member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), the world’s largest open standards enterprise blockchain project. Previously, Victor was the Founder & Chief Product Officer of the mobile family startup SmarTots from 2010-2015.
Joseph Lubin is a Canadian entrepreneur. He has founded or co-founded several companies including the Swiss-based Ethereum, a decentralized cryptocurrency platform, and is founder of ConsenSys, a Brooklyn-based software-production studio. In early 2014, Lubin was Chief Operating Officer of Ethereum Switzerland GmbH (EthSuisse), a company working to extend the capabilities of the type of blockchain database first popularized by Bitcoin. Lubin was also involved in the creation of the Ethereum Foundation, a Toronto-based non-profit organization. He subsequently founded ConsenSys in 2015.
Aaron Wright is an expert in corporate and intellectual property law, with extensive experience in Internet and new technology issues. Before joining Cardozo’s faculty, he sold a company to Wikia, the forprofit sister project of Wikipedia, where he ran Wikia’s New York office, served as General Counsel and Vice President of Product and Business Development, and helped build an open source search engine. Wright has clerked for the Honorable William J. Martini of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and worked as an associate at several prominent New York law firms, including Patterson Belknap and Jenner & Block.
Jeremy Millar is founder and managing partner of Ledger Partners LLP and a founding partner of Magister Advisors LLP, Prior to Magister Advisors, Jeremy was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs where he advised on over $25bn of corporate finance transactions and previously he helped build and bring to market Oracle’s Java stack in 90s/00s. He is an active angel investors and a mentor with the Barclays Techstars Accelerator. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of King’s College and a Master’s in Finance from Oxford University.
Stan is an experienced technology leader and mentor in digital agriculture. He has more than 30 years’ experience at Bayer Crop Sciences (via Monsanto) where he led key efforts to better engage their customers, create integrated products and services, modernize their technology platforms and execute breakthrough partnerships and acquisitions. Most recently, Stan was the Digital Transformation Lead of the Crop Strategy and Portfolio Management Leadership Team. He holds a B.S. in BioAgricultural Sciences from Colorado State University, a M.S. in Plant Breeding and a Ph.D. in Plant Genetics from the University of Minnesota.
John Impellizzeri tenured a 36-year career in industry where he established himself as a C-suite executive and developed a reputation as an innovative strategist, effective communicator, and dynamic leader with a strong commitment to excellence. Impellizzeri held CFO, CPO, and VP positions at Schindler Elevator, where he had a proven track record of coordinating complex business details, overseeing multiple functional areas simultaneously, and building consensus among decision-makers and stakeholders in defining strategic initiatives and driving results. John is currently Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Undergraduate Program Director (Newark), and Director of the Center for Supply Chain Management at Rutgers University.
